Maria is a remarkable human being of enormous talent. I’m no expert re: data collection, but surely if human agency is to play a significant role in addressing abuse, it makes absolute sense to expand the ability to exercise informed consent & to otherwise demand accountability.

I’m fascinated by the idea that when our personal data is used there is an exchange of value. And that should be taxed. This would help preserve privacy, discourage data mining, and undermine the Silicon Valley surveillance model.
