    There is something about Chaivin’s incessant, robotic note taking in the face of searing testimony that actually recalls the image of the stoic, unfeeling officer with his knee on another man’s neck.

    I used to counsel candidates during debates to occasionally jot down notes when their opponents were attacking. Chauvin obviously has received the same advice from his lawyers—except for the occasionally part.

    Here’s the problem w/the GA law: It’s based on the false claim that the 2020 election was riven by fraud. And based on that throughly debunked lie, it offers “remedies,” some of which will make it harder for some citizens to vote & easier for politicians to undermine elections.

    Today was special. After a year, we had 10 of our 12 grandchildren and 5 of our 7 children over for an Easter egg hunt and brunch. We have all been vaccinated and it was loving chaos. Happy Easter! (9 boys and 1 girl...yikes!)
