What is your take on this study, which roughly says that the main reason for the alleged long life in the blue zones is lack of proper data in regards to birth certificates etc.?https://twitter.com/Mangan150/status/1159074479194066944?s=20 …

I’m not enough of an expert on blue zones, but what’s important is finding of the elusive endogenous SIRT1 activator that we speculated exists after seeing resveratrol activate SIRT1 in ‘03 (This work was aggressively challenged by Pfizer and others and almost brought me down).
What does this mean for lifespan as olive oil has been used for centuries.
Now that we know the mechanism it means we can make better medicines to treat age-related diseases and it may also explain why fasting is good for health. Kind of like having to discover bacteria kill you so you then go find antibiotics.
do you know if SIRT1 activity correlates with F/N ratios?
it'd be interesting to see if reverse electron transport (RET) - which drives insulin resistance at the basement level - plays on SIRT1 activity

That’s something to test 1:18 and 1:16 MUFA are the most potent but ratios haven’t been tested. We have the SIRT1-E222K mouse...will test it with MUFAs and with CR/IF. If the theory is right, the mouse shouldn’t benefit from CR or IF. Will collaborate with the Mashek lab.
What about Canola oil?
It does have a lot of 1:18 oleic acid that is now known to activate Sirt1.
Which is absorbed better? Olive oil or reservetrol? Or together they get absorbed best? And how does honey fit into this puzzle? Yogurt and honey and reservetrol. Some eat olives for breakfast...http://www.ikariahoney.com/theisland.php
They would go well together. I have a colleague who swears by a spoonful of olive oil a day. At least resveratrol has zero calories.
