At the very least, you should have a simple personal website. Add a headshot and a short About Me section at the top. Publish a few articles at the bottom. If your writing is good, it'll do wonders for your career. Here's a template for your site.

A simple site like this will do much more for you than a LinkedIn page. Instead of seeing a bunch of generic bullet points about your career, people will your best thinking. If they like what they read, they'll share your writing. All that leads to inbound opportunities.

"Why are articles important?" More people will visit your site if the ideas are good. Short-form articles are a way for people to quickly learn from you. If they like them, they'll want more. Link them to one long-form piece that represents your very best thinking.
