    Just stumbled across this thread — and was reminded of the 2015 Pando article describing as "the most patient man in Silicon Valley." There's some crazy growth going on here, but I get the feeling the machine is still only just getting started...

    I feel like a lot of US citizens don’t quite get how hard it is to get an immigrant visa even if you are super qualified—many friends/family have struggled w the H1-B lottery or spent months applying for an O1 or got denied entry even though they have MIT degrees/great jobs/etc

    Not one to get sucked into paranoia But it’s occurred to me remote first/ distributed companies are far more anti fragile than those who need to co-locate to continue functioning

    One of the things I love most about the community is when dozens of alumni from past Fellowship cohorts volunteer to help interview hundreds of candidates for the upcoming one. We try to match them by skillset & interests, often resulting in some awesome serendipity :)
