Short thread on the ANC. The election has done one important thing to the ANC: it has reaffirmed the millenarian myth that defines its worldview - that it is the people, the truth and the way. In short, it has allowed the ANC to revert to type.

Thread on how the ANC plays the media. Essentially, the ANC always runs two - inherently contradictory - lines on any given issue. Let's call them Line A and B. It then relies on each line resonating differently with different audiences. Everyone hears what they want to hear.
