@davewiner What is striking for me is how much its very existence contradicts the stereotyped view of USA as all about cars.
All the comments I'm getting from people in cities that have bikeshare programs are condescending or sarcastic.

@davewiner FWIW, we're in our 4th year of@NiceRideMN in Mpls/St. Paul, and i've seen many comments from locals happy for NY bikes. -
@wjcstp -- as they should be. NYC is the biggest city in the US. And a lot of people come here to visit. Now they can have bikes here too.
