Castro set a fundraising goal (800k). He hit the fundraising goal. Then laid off staff in two early states? Certainly a mixed message to small donors.

"Fighting" has been Warren's brand ever since she entered politics -- her two memoirs, combined, have "fight" in the title three times. But go to town halls in Iowa and you hear Democrats just exhausted, tired of "division," which Buttigieg has noticed.
