You know what? I think it would be fine and good if the children of millionaires have the option to go to whatever public school they wanted to and not have to depend on their own parents--because maybe their parents are assholes and these kids deserve to be independent.

I can assure you there are lots of flagship land grant universities which are highly competitive and rich people absolutely want their kids to go to them.

He said billionaires. I agree there might be millionaires but very hard to see billionaires manipulating system to send kids to even the best flagship land grant universities when they can afford donations to send them to flagship private universities.

Rich people doing weird things to game the financial aid system is a good reason to fund free college with taxes on rich people. The IRS has more resources to catch cheaters than the financial aid office!
