Best take on the "brokered convention" speculation I've seen so far. Warren wins a lot of Hillary voters who have ruled out Sanders; Sanders wins a lot of voters who don't trust any other candidate.https://twitter.com/jmartNYT/status/1206573778022608899 …

NEW: How can progressives stop Bernie + Warren from splitting the left? There’s talk of a fusion ticket, both staying in the race thru June to ensure a “progressive majority” of delegates and @SenatorReid says he’s willing to broker a deal > https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/16/us/politics/elizabeth-warren-bernie-sanders-democrats-2020.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share …

A ticket with the 2 left-most candidates doesn't seem optimal in terms of broad appeal in the party (let alone the electorate as a whole).

If Sanders isn’t leading the ticket, he won’t help anyone else very much as VP. Warren would assuage many Hillary Dems on his ticket, but it’s not like they’re in danger of voting for Trump. It should be Sanders+(Baldwin?)

someone needs to address control of the senate when both Warren and Sanders would be replaced by GOP governors until the special election 6 mos later.

And the Vice Presidency is a fundamentally weak office. Moving either of them from the Senate to it is lose-lose for progressives.

Brokered convention speculation prior to the results of Super Tuesday is a complete and utter joke.

Let's see where we're at before Super Tuesday. If Bernie's been racking up wins he doesn't need Warren's base at all. And he could definitely win 4 of 5. I don't see any world where Warren does that.
