Two great examples of partisan media asymmetry: The Epstein saga and the mysterious Walter Reed visit. There's not really a left-wing media infrastructure that will gnaw on interesting conspiracy stories like there is on the right. https://twitter.com/mattyglesias/status/1201823856186580993 …

Like, imagine how much coverage there'd be on Fox rn if the Epstein story was unfolding the same way and Bill Clinton was living in Hillary's White House residence.

There are tons of unanswered questions about Epstein that no one in the media seen interested in answering: did Epstein "belong to intelligence" as Alexander Acosta supposedly said? How did he get so rich? Where in the world is Ghislaine and why isn't she in jail?

the conspiracy theory infrastructure on the left, such as it is, shares with the right the fact that it hates clinton and obama more than it hates trump

Yep. The "left-wing media infrastructure", if there is one, voted for Trump.

Too much of the MSM is implicated. Just ask @GStephanopoulos why ABC spiked their Epstein story and then colluded with CBS to fire the potential leaker...

there is, but it’s not an “infrastructure” so much as a network of Twitter accounts with names like “Blue Wave Patriot” and “The Spy Sentinel.” and the conspiracy theories all have to do with unpronounceable Russian oligarchs so they’re inherently uninteresting

The craziest one goes by "Mueller Report". It's got all this wild stuff about Russian interference in US elections. Totally implausible, but the whine moms love it.

I think people who vote Democrat are less interested in that stuff. If there was a market there would be a product, right?
