I’m for the New Deal, the Green New Deal, etc. But this is like citing jobs numbers for Obama. If you start out in the basement, growth is easy to come by.

The problem with this whole narrative is that it really is narrow thinking. Did the disaster response to fukushima create growth? How could we profit from global disaster? The global economy is set to shrink by 15 - 50% by 2100. This is ABSURD.

The growth in first few years of FDR's admin was almost entirely erased by downturn of 1937-38.
