I’m a broken record, but it’s underappreciated how key to his 2016 image Trump’s anti-donor stance was and how vulnerable he could be to the right attack now that he’s completely reversed course

At an Ohio event where Obama made an unannounced stop on Thursday on his way to his Cleveland rally, one of the state’s biggest GOP donors announced he’d quit the party and likes what the former president has been saying lately about civility

Paladino and Astorino both got roughly 1.5 million votes in 2010 and 2014 respectively. Almost as many (1.49 million) democrats turned out to vote in a Thursday primary this week. Those are scary numbers for Republicans.

  7. Like how does this survive the headline later this month when the Texas judge who thinks everything is unconstitutional says, oops, nobody with pre-existing conditions has protections anymore. (It will be appealed etc, but that's gonna be a day.)

  8. Absolute strangest story in politics right now is GOP govs suing to kill the popular parts of Obamacare while insisting they will pass state legislation to restore the popular parts of Obamacare.

  9. Ellison tied in the polls a month after his ex-girlfriend accused him of abuse. Hard to avoid conclusion that the way she did it -- claiming to have a damning tape, but refusing to show it to anyone -- smothered the story.

  10. Has there ever been a less necessary narrative framing device than John Malkovich in "Alive"? The movie's called "Alive." We assume that some of the plane crash survivors ended up, you know, not un-alive.

You’re looking at the wrong number. *Every* progressive local candidate in NY-14 won last night. Our district ALONE took down 3 IDC members. Organizers beat a $2 million incumbent who spent more than a gubernatorial campaign. I wasn’t even on the ballot. Why project onto me?

This kind of thing is part of why the "forgoing a salary" stunt—and it's always a stunt—is actually really toxic:

This is Butters. He is a very precious 16 year old cat. We left him in the care of a friend in Alamo Heights, San Antonio, who lost him. Please help me find him.

The Kavanaugh story is the second time Ronan has shared a byline with the brilliant ...the first being the big Eric Schneiderman story. Both times people have promoted the stories as if Jane didn’t exist. I know it’s not intentional, but it’s certainly unfair.
