The media is making sure that when we open the economy back up—whenever that will be—people will be too afraid to reopen.
That’s been the focus of all reporting and, judging by this poll (which is, in itself, meant to reinforce that), looks effective.

Yep, normally rational people have been sent into a frenzy by all the negative reporting being constantly hammered.

Definitely something to realize: those following the story are in a bubble. People I know who most strongly think CV justifies lockdown but who pay pay attention still have a radically more realistic view of this than the average person. Most are convinced this is airborne Ebola.

I think the cascade would happen pretty quick once folks saw others going back to work,etc.
