Here's the fundamental problem with the "In common use BS" in 1934 the government made machine guns uncommon by putting a luxury tax on them knowing they couldn't ban them. Flash forward a few decades to 1986 the government uses it's own precedent it created to ban machine guns.
I didn't write those words, but I agree with most of the general idea. Guns that are in "common use" and "typically possessed by law-abiding citizens for lawful purposes" may not be banned. I see now, so the lower courts say it's fine as they did in Illinois, and SCOTUS refuses to take them, in your opinion that I have always found reliable, Why won't they? thanks for the reply and thanks for all you have done in the past to preserve the constitution.
