Ownership of cannons during the Revolutionary War aside (our Founders probably had more pressing matters), which was the subject of that "False" fact-check, is it the case, as I think it is, that Biden is correct? You can't just own any gun of any type. Machine guns?
A Politifact fact check rated Biden's similar May 2020 assertion to be "False." From early colonial days through ratification of the #2A, there were no bans on types of arms.
