    If goal is creating partisan fairness then multi-seat districts with are necessary - electing just one person from one party denies representation to all the other voters in the district... gives voters the representation they are seeking

    Voters in Ohio have overwhelmingly approved a bipartisan deal to reform gerrymandering.

    Both Ds and Rs have worked hard to game the AZ commission. There would be tremendous value in a larger commission with additional protections against furtive partisan manipulation.

    When we fight - justice wins. I’m happy to see that Republican-led efforts to make the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission more partisan was defeated in the legislature. The citizen-led commission creates fair, competitive districts and is a model for the country.

    Many seem to agree that Democrats need to win by about 7 ish on the generic ballot for the House to be a toss up But why seven? Why not two or ten or nineteen or zero? If you've ever wondered about that, my new piece is for you:

    In 1999, of the reported how a 19-year-old said Carl Bernstein's son, let slip the identity of Deep Throat, Mark Felt. to him when both were eight. No one took it seriously until 2005 when Felt revealed that he was the one.

    North Carolina Republicans just can't quit gerrymandering. This time they're debating gerrymandering the judicial districts & having the already-gerrymandered legislature make appointments to fill future vacancies.

    Rep Burr is at it again. Not only rigging the courts but also trying to strip away governor’s right to appoint district judges to vacant positions for legislative appointments. It’s madness. November can’t come soon enough.
