    THREAD: One of my favorite only-in-Hollywood stories, the raising of Soundstage 16 on the lot in Burbank. I guarantee one of your favorite movies had something filmed inside, it’s a literal and figurative giant.

    Hollywood history time. What you’re looking at isn’t just a soundstage on the lot in CA. It is, in my opinion, a ridiculous story that would never happen today. This Gandalf of a soundstage (going from Grey to White) is my favorite soundstage in all of Hollywood. 1/x

    Since many have asked today, all approved covid vaccinations are VERY effective in preventing normal lungs (on the L) from looking like ones that need life support (on the R) Please pass it on: the brand doesn’t matter, as all will prevent severe illness from occurring.

    Half of employees who make under $15 an hour get food stamps, Medicaid and welfare. This costs taxpayers $107 billion a year. So instead of paying a few cents more for a hamburger, you're paying billions more to subsidize corporations paying literal poverty wages.

    Extremely sad news. A formative publication as a kid, that had direct impact on my personal and professional life.

    After 41 years of publication, we at are sad to report that Cinefex 172, just off the presses, will be our final issue. Many thanks to all our loyal fans.

    I have a looming fear: no matter how careful I am (which is VERY, and tested weekly) that I will somehow manage to get infected JUST as I become eligible for the vaccine. Is there a psychological term for this kind of "ticking clock" anxiety? If anything, it will keep me vigilant

    It's a fascist technique known as "governing by crisis and spectacle." Hierarchical leaders can't govern by helping people (because that diminishes their own power) so they govern by doing battle with enemies. Invented enemies are safest.
