    As I'm completing copyedits on my manuscript, it's important to note the historical ways someone from my background experiences grammar-- that is as a person whose ancestors formed their use of English out of many languages, including Spanish, Tagalog, Tiwa, & French.

    Ordway, CO is buttoned up today but the Columbine Saloon is open and has outdoor seating. Barkeep says the bar itself dates to 1897. Story is that it came from Leadville, went to Rocky Ford, and landed here. It features diamond dust mirrors, he says, made with silver and mercury.
