Drip Drop💧STORMDRAIN Drip Drop is a collection of 1111 1/1 photographs of rain hitting puddles in Times Square. The rarity of each work is established by an AI machine vision that detects emergent traits within each artwork. Drops, chaos, shadow vs. light, and color spectrums.

This project was heavily inspired by the

@artblocks_io

ecosystem. Though it is purely photography, the generative nature of the universe is captured and analyzed by algorithms developed with

@TransientLabs

and

@eawendtjr

. The universe is the source code I freeze instances of.

I love figuring out new ways to use this tech to align incentives in creative communities. These experiments have showed me what is possible when you push the limits and try new systems. To date, we have over 500 ETH in total volume, adding primary and secondary sales together.

When someone wins the STORMDRAIN, their Drips they escrowed in the contract are automatically swapped for a 1/1 work. The Drips go back to me. I can then use these tokens as incentives for the community to continue to propagate the project, in countless ways.

If the auction ends at 12 Drips, I have 12 tokens at a .6 ETH floor. That’s value that I can use to fuel various initiatives- RT contests, art challenges, art trades for 1/1 work from other artists, donations to charity, and to get some of my own work back for my collection.
