@roomie like many other creators make a living out of YouTube. And that is one of the main issues, I mean that this companies don't treat creators like individual people, but rather like a product or sth -
Indeed sounds too much, but if it's only about 1 certain video it could have a very high detail background even he doesn't quite see. A.k.a he made a video using copyrighted material to recreate a copyrighted material and he hardly has his own work which skews the percentages.

Parody would be critism but I'm afraid it wasn't parody enough (too big match in text, they usually go out of their way to be obviously doing a parody or it's not OK). Parody is indeed hard to pull off in fair use though possible.
