Though email isn't as popular as it once was for personal use (shifts to things like social media, chat-apps etc.),
it's still popular/strong for business.
There's also the difference between prospecting campaigns and targeted ones (existing consumers etc.)

#VCBuzz A5.2 Where as certain other channels tend to be broad/prospect based, email often goes that step or two further - gaining an advantage with previous interactions, trust and preferences. Even better, you can include certain actions (such as "buy now") in the copy. -
I completely agree. I manage email campaigns for private practices and we have great response and interaction from existing patients.
