By understanding that in many cases, the term "funnel" is a misnomer, and that consumer journeys are often not linear nor instant.
In many cases (esp. organic, high-value, high-risk etc.), the journey tends to include wandering around and looking at different things

#VCBuzz A4.2 That's why it's so important to make sure that you have the different types of content for different stages. They may come in looking for "product X", but may want to know more about it, if there's an alternative, a specific version, if it's compatible with ABC etc. -

I remember explaining how the customer journey was more of a "conveyor belt" as opposed to a "funnel" in a post somewhere (can't find it now)... But that's certainly a better analogy!
