These can be utilised for sense disambiguation (meaning), and thematic/topical classification (relevance etc.).
So G has built up it's KB (KnowledgeGraph), so it can perform Entity Recognition.

#VCBuzz A2.3. This helps them disambiguate Queries/searches, as well as potentially classifying text etc. I've always liked to look at content as how "data-rich" it is. When you look at Wiki, you can see exactly what I mean (names, dates, locations etc.). >>> -
