Some people seem to think that all links pass value, and that the value is the same.
If that was the case, we'd have seen G ranking "Contact Us" and "Privacy" pages far more often for brand terms :D
G seems to alter the value based on factors such as commonality.

#VCBuzz A4.3. Another one is multiple links on the same page to the same destination. As far as I understand it, these are "collapsed" (treated as a single instance) - so the math changes. (there is still uncertainty regarding link-text/relevance though) -
UX / User first. I approach with that mindset. The "reasonable surfer" model is all about user behavior and trying to plan for the best experience for your valuable content's discovery.
