A3. The internet is a wonderful thing :D Some company/corporate sites have all the names/positions you need. In other cases, you can search for role+company, and find details via PR pieces, or interviews etc. Failing that, you pick up the phone and ask :D

Some companies invest a little time/effort in the cleansing process - even pretending to be a different company, and will literally phone and ask to confirm if X is still the Y.
This not only helps validate data,
but shields the company,
and warns of gatekeepers.
