A1. ABM is basically a hybrid between marketing and sales, typically for high-ticket/high-cost/high-risk offerings for B2B. It involves cherry picking prospective clients, digging out target names and trying to present offers tailored to the individual and business.

it's very similar to outbound sales via a semi-qualified list (MQ/SQ),
enhanced with additional data
(such as contact name/position/role, known competitor pricing/offerings etc.)
