Bot fodder should be abandoned.
Generating content (pages and sites) solely with the intent to gain rankings and traffic, then try to lead the user into the "funnel".
This includes satellite sites, doorway pages, thin content, cookie-cutter content etc.

Googles never liked such content, and nor have users. It's not only a risky negative for rankings - it's often a waste of resources. Why expend the time/effort/money on producing 20 pages of garbage to generate traffic that won't convert or link, or do so very badly?

Instead, focus on User-centric content, intended to aid them by meeting their needs, wants and expectations. That means each and every stage of the journey, each question, each concern etc. From "what's the problem" through to "here's the solution".
