How could they drop a distinct and easily searchable name like "swagger" for something as generic and forgettable as "OpenAPI"?!
If you had a choice between a) keeping the name Swagger and having it owned by a single company b) changing the name and having it owned by the Linux Foundation Which would you choose?

I don't know the details of what happened there, but surely there are examples where company owns name of an OSS thing and there are no issues. Example: node.js
