They created Lifelog... which was too intrusive as a gov program, so it became Facebook.... and ironically ex-DARPA officials became FB executives. Ask yourself why? To what end?

I am sure that such research will continue to be funded under some other title," wrote Karger in an e-mail. "I can't imagine Darpa 'dropping out' of such a key research area." https://www.wired.com/2004/02/pentagon-kills-lifelog-project/ … posted the same day as Facebook "launched." If average tenure is 4 years, how do you know that Lifelog and FB have nothing to do with one another? Maybe the relationship is prior to your +/- avg. tenure and/or above your pay grade (which means all of us "know"
)

Very certain. The Lifelog program manager is no longer at the agency nor is anyone else associated with its research.
