    In computer science, we don’t say “I love you” we say something like `console.log(‘Hello World! <3’);` (a lot - in different cryptic languages and code as well) and I think that’s beautiful

    in astronomy we don’t say “I love you” we say “Look up at the stars” and I think that’s beautiful (I really really really do)

    So the model is ensemble learning and as noted less prone to errors... I don’t really understand the FP and FN weights or the different models in ensemble since I don’t have the biology knowledge in this... it’s hard to tell if the high accuracy reported is meaningful.

    Glancing at the paper and model scores reported... F1 score is like around ~0.5 here (range is 0-1 with 1 being better) Though the recall is slightly above 0.5 so it looks okayish.

    Hmm... at first glance these numbers in the tweet seems a bit biased and a lack of diversity seeing that this is a pandemic and there’s way more groups involved 😬 - I can’t help wonder if it’s overfitting... so, I’m definitely curious about the context.
