Happy 5th Birthday 🎂 Mason!! Since the moment he was on the warming table after he was born, he’s been right by my side. He’s a true Daddy’s Boy. Mason would sit in the MamaRoo and watch me w/his big green eyes while I trade, research, read, workout—everything. ❤️💯

I made the mistake and watched the video and its as barbaric as I'd imagined it would be. I was born in a black city. My pediatrician was blk, the mayor was blk&the police chief was blk...there was no magic benevolence. Ppl respond to systems&incentives in predictable ways.

There seems to be interest in “Trader Lexicon” I’ll attempt to put a few together here in a 🧵. There are specific word choices and order of words so that mistakes are limited. Price, then the phrase “bid for “ and then size. Example: MSFT, I’m $245 bid for 300 shares.

State audit uncovers LSU football coach Brian Kelly was overpaid by more than $1 million - USA TODAY| LOL What’s more interesting is how both college&pro coaches salaries have skyrocketed 🚀over the past several yrs. I don’t think the avg fan is aware.

It’s hard to find an industry w/worse OTC option contracts than the music industry. The counterparty (Bigcorporate)fleeces artists w/each additional clause. The industry is built on bad trades. 200mm does seem low,but like Dan pts out Bieber doesn’t own his masters 100% outright.

Justin Bieber's music rights sale is official. Hipgnosis paid $200M+ for Bieber's masters, publishing, and neighboring rights for his full back catalog with 290+ songs. I have a lot to say on this one but I'll keep it brief.

Too Bad. You have good commentary. I’m reading this alot from larger accts, but honestly, twtr isn’t worse post Musk. Twtr was horrific before Musk took over. The app has more glitches and weird ads now, but the cesspool was murkier when the wokesters ran it tbh.

Blocked over 200 people in 3 days. I’m not fucking around anymore. Twitter has become a cesspool since Musk took over. Market commentary will continue on Instagram and YouTube. Not here. There are human beings behind these accounts. Act like you’re one of them.

Investment opportunities aside, what are the ethical implications of a gov't subsidizing an entire US population's lifetime use of semaglutide? Do we really want a nation of kids, adults and elderly hooked on a weekly injection shot in order to crush our obesity epidemic?

I trade the same baskets of SS’s (until my perceived edge decays) , the same types of tactics on the Index, and the same roll yield stuff on SVIX UVXY (w/updated tweaks to acct for crowding) as I did 8-9 yrs ago. Novelty is my enemy. But that’s me, for others it’s a strength.

Early on in life i figured out that limited options(no pun) and an almost autistic level of repetition and singular focus are critical for me to do well in competitive endeavors like options trading, sports or fitness. This is why I’m a broken record and boring on fintwit LOL

The bird app is super buggy. There are replies and DM’s that dont appear to me for minutes to hours at a time. From ppl that I interact with often too. Nowadays, you have to be even more deliberate with your usage and curation. Otherwise you’ll miss good threads and news.

I can tell that is monitoring this as well, but it will be interesting to observe the upside skews of the go-to growth names/memes, *if the party has been restarted* lol, to see if MMs get a head of the call buying mania.

There’s no way in hell that they would sit through the swings of a system that targets a >= 30% annualized vol target. Not happening. There’d be YT “exposed” videos imploring the CFTC to investigate Dunn LOL Truth is, most of these alt products aren’t a good fit for main st.

Dunn’s track record is solid.Meb Faber wasn’t wrong to comment on their performance. But, you have to know your customer. Dunn runs a volatile program (at least 1 -60% DD). Recently,We have main st ppl calling a volatile stock—Eg tsla—a scam in the wsj bc it’s drawn down a lot…

I will miss going to Nuggets games. It was always fun.I would go in w/a family friend from Dallas on a season ticket package. I texted 2 yrs ago that next to the Warriors, the Nuggets play the most beautiful brand of bball in the NBA. No surprise they’re atop the west.

Cool Story. What Steph did last summer was as great as MJ’s Last Dance in ‘98. That was the greatest performance I’ve ever seen from a PG. I get why Brad Stevens wanted to give praise after Game 6.

REPORT: Brad Stevens stood outside of the Warriors dressing room and shook the hand of every player and coach after Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals, via @SteveBHoop. Warriors say they really appreciated the gesture.

RJ is a brilliant communicator. A while back, someone on fintwit tweeted that the ability to communicate effectively wasn’t indicative of domain expertise…bullshit.I don’t care how good of an executor you are,the ability to succinctly articulate complex topics displays mastery.🙌🏽

*Scaling is hard* Happy New Year! I've been slow to start work this year cos it's summer here and I like the beach. But I have been, err, "working" on sports betting models with my son for fun. And now you get to hear a trading analogy about it.

Alittle over 3 hrs until kickoff and I’m reminded that the Cowboys haven’t won a road playoff game in 30 yrs. When Jimmy beat Jerry and Steve Young. 🤞🏾🤦🏽‍♂️ Unrelated Sidenote: Joe Montana fball on sega genesis was one of my fave video games from the early nineties.

Sure let’s short the .10 delta option on the Chargers. It’s a lock for income 🤦🏽‍♂️.
Quote Tweet
When the Chargers went up 27-0, a bettor bet $1.4 million on them to win the game to net $11,200. Jacksonville came back and won 31-30. @DKSportsbook has confirmed that this bet was indeed made.

Following DJ Khaled’s IG is hella entertaining. One minute he’s selling me almond milk, low cal smoothies and CrossFit, then several posts later he’s having pre-lunch(never heard of that until today)and lunch meals that look like a world class Thanksgiving. 🤷🏽‍♂️😂

Kyle Shannahan gets a lot of praise from pundits for being an innovative savant. Well in actuality, everything about his coaching style is a throwback to the 80s and 90s. Yes, there’s lots of optionality and reads going on, but his edge is that his teams do the basics very well.

Critical TO by Geno. It looks like the Niners win this one. I’m still happy for him tho. It’s rare that a guy finally gets a good break at 34. My Cowboys OTOH are probably going to beat by the GOAT. Dak has looked awful the last couple of weeks.

Man. I agree w/the sentiment of this take. BUT, Magic inherited a Ferrari of a team when he was drafted in 1979. I’m with you tho, I don’t like the way Lebron bandwagon hops from team to team, cos plays GM, and then jumps ship when the team is in shambles.

Magic Johnson on whether he ever wanted to team up w/ Michael Jordan: "No. I wasnt like that. I never tried to get all the named dudes. Thats what makes sports special - competition. Go make it happen..if you the best" Seems like every great player has this mentality except one

Aww man 💡. Gotta talk to my Dad about this comp. Coach Karl went deep in the history books with this one.

Young heads, if you’re looking for a historical comp to Giannis, it’s Connie Hawkins. The Hawk was a dominate player in the 60s and 70s with his length, athleticism and skill!

I don’t think the south will ever lose its monopoly on rap(20+ yrs & counting) Sauce Walka is the one 🔥🔥.His music is incredible. H-Town’s finest. Finesse2Tyme is out cold too. I can name a dozen ultra talented artists from Midwest, South and CA (Larry June) that are A-1 rn.

Its extremely risky to bet long gamma on memes. Conversely, I've been on the other side of the trade where I sold an ITM put spread in GME; everything went perfectly,&the MMs kept the skew pronounced&ivol sky high.I was locked into the trade until the last hr before expiration.
