Git makes me so indescribably angry and LFS even more so. Surely after years, they would have a decent solution for .framework files but no. Its all just shit fuckery and hacking around until it kinda sorta works but not really

SVN was bloating our build size by 160% and we had to add some convoluted steps to our build automation to find a way around it. I wish I could just switch the project to Git, would have saved me a LOT of time.

Lol! Now I'm intrigued. How? Also are we sure it wouldnt happen the same way in git? :p

SVN stores its config files in each directory and git stores it in the root of the repo. We needed to version assets in the StreamingAssets folder and Unity shoves everything in that folder into a build.

Ahhhh yes, the deadly streaming assets folder. To be fair thats not a huge script to strip that on a pre build step but also i definitely see the frustration

Oh, also if you have any idea how to stop every second build on a Jenkins build server failed on the SVN update step, let me know! (It’s if include externals is enabled which unfortunately needs to be)
