Git makes me so indescribably angry and LFS even more so. Surely after years, they would have a decent solution for .framework files but no. Its all just shit fuckery and hacking around until it kinda sorta works but not really

you may just need to update your repo to 1.7? (I am mostly on mac, but even our windows machines dont have this problem with SVN anymore)
Unfortunately it's not our repo so we can't, but we added features to our build tool to handle moving files pre and post build that dealt with it 
(But I'll definitely keep that in mind if I'm ever using SVN again)

Yeah using other peoples svn if its older as well you end up with just shit that has been grandfathered in, but you can always ask the repo manager?

This project is nearly over so I don't think there will be much benefit to doing it now (I'll still let them know), but I know enough about SVN now to know what to check in the future.

yeah, that sucks, but I do very much support the 'fix it at build time!' mantra :) I cannot begin to list the number of wacky build-time hacks we have to make everything run smoothly :)
