The changes for 0.1.5 of http://simdjson.rs are merged and the package is on cargo :D it’s getting the the point where I’m confident to say it is now by far the fastest json parser for @rustlang being between 25% and 400% faster then serde in the serde benchmarks :D

I like it a lot on one hand but on the flip side it’s hands down the most frustrating programming experience I’ve had in ages. You get lulled in by incredible error messages and then it gives you something like ‘Expected X but got X can’t compile’ and lifetimes are terrible

The borrow checker and lifetime's are the easy implemented bits of rust's GC - it's the human in the loop and cross-cutting concerns punted onto the programmer that cost. But the value of near bullet proof production is worth the effort.
