Looks like there'll be no The Sims 4 reviews until after it's out. EA tells me no one's getting access ahead of release. I'm nervous.

@DanStapleton Tons of reviews on YouTube from full release versions. Why does corporate press seem to miss that? Oh yeah free stuff. -
@Dizzyl3mon Ha. I don't care about free stuff. Even if we buy a copy for review, it doesn't come out of my pocket. -
@Dizzyl3mon And also: those aren't full release copies. They're preview builds, and we've played with those too. EA says they're not ready.

@DanStapleton Did SimCity also try something out of the norm? Did they hold "review events" instead of sending out actual copies? -
@Capitalistpig21 They had an event and then gave copies for the weekend before launch. Almost everybody waited another week+ to review.

@beyondsims Preview access has been fine. Review is an entirely different thing. -
@DanStapleton Whatever EA's reasons are, the gaming press will have to wait with Sims fans for the release day. -
@DanStapleton EA are very community-focused with Sims, so that could be a reason. Fans were told about the game before the press last year. -
@beyondsims@DanStapleton Every time the press reviews a Sims game, it turns into a mockery. About time EA caters to the community instead. -
@DerMonarch@beyondsims The Sims 3 reviewed very well just about everywhere. I loved it, myself (92% at PCG). Or did you not like it?
