@YouTubeTV went to watch taped Good Place and it says it’s restricted by NBC? So I have to watch the version with ads? That seems really duplicitous. Why not let me watch the show I taped?

If you don't see a non Video On Demand version available, then the VOD version has taken precedence over the recorded version. These restrictions are put in place by the network itself. We're happy to take your feedback on this.

Why would networks get to control what I watch if I set the dvr functionality to tape a show. If I were watching on a TiVo, it wouldn’t delete shows and make me watch ad-enabled versions. Really disappointed in this
