Love the conversation. It’s not about shot gun versus under center. It’s about building your offense so everything looks the same under center and in the gun run or pass. In 2012 we used the Pistol formation in shot gun and confused defenses and generated big plays via playaction

Exactly! Tell me if you heard this phrase before. “The Marriage of the run and the pass!” QBs who you fear running the football or extending the play change the under center conversation. It’s about how many plays start out looking the same and end up different.

99.9% agree. The exception is when you have superior athletes outside. At that point…just spread the D out, and force them in 1v1s or stretch those zones to form huge windows.
