So many feels. Choosing to focus on music feels like coming home, I finally feel like myself again, yet I feel like I’m turning my back on everything I’ve built. It’s scary, but exhilarating. Pursue what you love doing EVERYDAY, not what you’re good at.

Been recording ambient vocals for the last two hours with headphones on and all kinds of audio effects attached. I’m lost in some kind of Animal Collective stupor, and I’ve never felt more confident about a dramatic life transition as I do now. *takes a much needed deep breath*

Help me out + developers! Would you consider prioritizing spatial music in your experience over traditional scores? Spatial music is when you split a song into parts so you can animate the location of individual sounds, or attach instruments to specific locations.

Had a few people already unfollow me for posting this haha. I think they make my point... a lot of people in this industry don't want to believe that what we're making could actually really hurt humanity if we rush in the wrong way. I'm just asking for an open dialogue :)

This whole immersive future thing is exciting. But there's something beautiful and sacred about un-doctored reality that we MUST accept and work with if we are to truly have a positive impact on humanity. Make experiences that put reality first, not ones that block it.

What enables is awesome. But please consider the societal benefits of minimalism in your designs. You don't always need flashy animations, notifications and visual embellishments. Sometimes, a simple glowing dot and spatial sound should be enough.

I think Star Trek TNG does it right. They don't have holograms everywhere and virtual pets, they have a pre-determined area for called the holodeck. But outside those walls, besides some crew who use to visualize tasks, everyone is willing to focus completely on reality.

When you're making your living from these tools, it's hard to dis them. But for the sake of the industry, we need to critically ask "why" more often. I am still 100% behind things like for medical or education, but why do we need AR decorations and omnipresent distractions?

We all need to be more cautious of enabling + overuse, omnipresent AR design, and a future where people must work in VR daily. I used to drink the Koolaid surrounding what we will gain from these tools, but there's a hard truth here about what we'll lose in the process.

Been taking a hard look at my life this week. I’m considering pausing my VR art career in order to focus on music full time. I’m weary of being lost in virtual worlds my whole life, I just enjoy reality and sound more. Hopefully, through moderation, I’ll learn to love again.

Tech can be an exhausting industry to work in. Hype after hype, device after device, launch after launch. It's an exciting space, don't get me wrong, but everyday I wonder where we are headed. What do you do to stay connected to the world outside our tech bubble?

This makes my blood boil. I don’t like retweeting this monster, but this... people need to know he said this. Rejecting the validity of thousands of lost Americans, in my opinion, is traitorous, and proof he has no moral right to command our military.

I get so inspired by how the crew from the Next Generation work with each other over the years. It's the only show that I can watch on repeat and actually feel positive about the future of humanity.
