I love the beauty of Utah’s people and geography. I’m grateful to be here to celebrate her 127th birthday. Happy birthday Utah!

Sen. recognized many of the finalists who submitted designs for the new state flag. We loved seeing all of the artists and designers who played a part in the final design of Utah’s proposed new state flag! #utpol #utleg

It was awesome to be in the room with so many artists whose design helped inspire the final Beehive flag.

Utah's symbol is the beehive, which means "working hard together." Which flag will spread this symbolism more and make it easier to see? In 1 year the new flag will have greater use than the old has had in 110 years. Keep both! And let each flag do what it does best!

Utah is one of the higher per capita taxed states in the Country. I'm grateful my colleagues and I are working on substantial tax relief this year to reduce the burden on Utah families.

In the near future, the Beehive flag will become the “civic flag” and be used more day to day, while the Ceremonial flag will be more “sophisticated” and used for official governmental purposes. Both flags will represent us and they’ll do it together.

The testimony of yesterday is still on my mind today. Some only see hate, I ask them to see Chloe’s story also. Is it possible that the law has a duty to protect children from this harm?

My testimony in support of SB16. Children deserve love, not massive scars across their bodies.

It’s a somber day, leaves a huge hole in the Utah Senate and will be missed. Much love Karen!

This year, Utah's budget will be the biggest in state history at an estimated $28.4 billion for fiscal year 2024. A major focus of the budget will be cutting taxes for Utahns. The Legislature will continue to prioritize cutting taxes and giving Utahns back their hard-earned money

Our state is blessed with incredible teachers who perform invaluable work. To show our appreciation for the critical work our teachers do and to combat the state educator shortage, the Legislature will look to increase teacher salaries during this legislative session.
