This is a terrible comparison. Azure is done with .Net 4.6 whilst AWS was done using .Net Core. He may has well of compared Apples and Oranges. Given Azure Functions support .Net Core, this is a terrible comparison at the most basic level.

The reasoning is right in the post. .Net core support is still in preview and has serious perf issues. Also simple things - like 64bit support - aren’t supported.
