Why I made https://friendlyoptions.org - ask the company to fill out the form. It's the minimum ask to actually be able to value stock option grants. If the company won't do it then they might as well be offering Monopoly money.

Somewhat Devil's Advocate here, but how about the argument that investors specialize and there aren't enough in some areas, so that selling a 20% stake gets you less than 2x as much money as selling a 10% stake?
