Is there an affordable analytics platform that tracks time on page? Google analytics claims to, but it actually tracks time to first click.
It looks like you can write your own js to send custom events to Google Analytics, but not having to do that is the entire reason I use GA

I guess piwik is an option? But my traffic puts me into the enterprise "contact us" pricing tier for hosted, which seems like a bad sign.

What are you going to get out of that number though? People leaving the site open and going to lunch is going to skew it pretty badly

"Time active on page" seems more useful of a metric maybe? i.e. the amount of time where < N sec of time between clicks/keys elapsed
