Most comments on the paper are weird or nonsensical if you actually read the paper. It's obvious in this case b/c the title is bogus...
...and people are just responding the title as if it reflects the content of the paper. It's less obv. when the title isn't bogus but...
...I suspect the same thing happens on other posts and the vast majority of people who vote/comment simply haven't read the article at all.
