What companies are known for having low (~5%) attrition? Off the top of my head, I can only think of two companies (Centaur & Automattic).

.Agree, but I think it's unlikely that many companies would be willing to share attrition data, both qualitative and quantitative.

I don't know exact numbers, but general belief is that attrition is low at Apple. It's normal to meet someone who's been here 10+ years.

At NVIDIA, we have (relatively) low attrition because we focus on letting people follow their passion. Good work and innovation follow nat.

Agreed. Turnover rate always a question I ask in interviews, or "why did last person leave?"

I expect you'll find a higher percentage of that at small companies and slow-growth companies. Big high-intensity companies are different.

Big 5 Openness is about novelty seeking, new ideas and creativity. Early employees are often highly open. And open people job hop more.

The people who are happy staying put are often less creative. I don't know that thats something I want to optimize for.
