I'm willing to bet that this is higher latency than you'd see in the equivalent game from 1993 on a 1993 gaming setup.

I am v. curious to see latency of 4Ghz CPU + normal USB mouse + freesync vs. my '93 60Mhz CPU + ps/2 mouse + CRT

According to wikipedia, there's no freesync monitor with a higher refresh rate than my old CRT :-)

Most (all?) ps/2 mice could be cranked up to 200Hz without problems. I doubt having an internal processor makes most modern mice quicker

I know you can get fancy gaming mice nowadays that have > 200Mhz polling rate, but I didn't have a fancy gaming setup (and don't now).
