There's also been 0 impact on the market cap of NIC vendors that sell to datacenters. Do ppl think it's not a big deal or did no one notice?pic.twitter.com/fMraHoMQ7u
But are Google replacing mellanox cards or commodity stuff? My assumption was that mellanox were mainly hft/hpc crowd.
I would be surprised if any major cloud vendor wasn't using a NIC with similar capabilities as the default for standard SKUs.
Additionally, I'd be surprised if those datacenter deployments didn't totally dominate HPC and HFT sales volume.
