Doesn't account for demographics. Econometrics is hard.
That appears to be the single largest factor, but labor force participation for prime-age men (and to a lesser extent, women) is decreasing.

Additionally, labor force participation has actually increased for 55-64 and 65+, which seems to indicate that it's gotten harder to retire.

(and maybe also that there are more jobs where it's easier to continue working into old age)
