When did you start your blog? A lot of eye hours have moved to social, YouTube, Medium. Growing a new blog is brutal.

True, but AFAICT the rise of social media makes it easier to start a widely read blog, not harder.

I mostly don't find blogging that hard, but I do it more for myself than external validation (or so I tell myself).

It's more that I've done the hard work to figure this out and then writing about it turns it into concrete knowledge for me.

Well, the OP doesn't want to start a blog. He wants fame, using a blog to gather it. That's a completely different thing.
