But that guy changed teams and now I see bugs that persist for months and sometimes even > 1 year :-(
The team was VERY INTERESTED in getting bugreports and fixing bugs; Google just has no mechanism to let normal users report bugs

Well, it's technically possible in docs by going to "send feedback", but that seems like it only works if you're an employee.
